CHAPTER 121: Cunning

Sexual content warning.

Lan Wu was momentarily stunned, then replied gently, “Of course, I’m real.”

She moved towards Ji Lingyue, who didn’t flinch this time. But when Lan Wu embraced her, her body was stiff.

“Would you lie to me?” Ji Lingyue asked.

“Why would I lie to you?”

“The last time you spoke to me, you lied,” Ji Lingyue whispered. “You said you’d be fine, but you almost died.”

Lan Wu froze, then held her even tighter, her voice thick with emotion, “I’m sorry.”

Ji Lingyue’s throat tightened, her expression lost. She felt like she was trapped in a dream, her own voice sounding distant and muffled. “Did you really come to find me?”

“Yes,” Lan Wu sighed. “You ran too far. It took me a long time to find you.”

Ji Lingyue pursed her lips, her eyes gradually misting over. “I went back, but you… you wouldn’t wake up…”

“I know.”

Ji Lingyue blinked, lifting her hand as if to touch Lan Wu’s face. But her fingers curled nervously before they could make contact, as if afraid that this was just a fleeting illusion that would shatter at the slightest touch.

Lan Wu noticed her hesitation and gently pressed her cheek into Ji Lingyue’s palm. “I’m here,” she murmured.

“Mmm…” Ji Lingyue’s long lashes trembled, and tears finally spilled down her cheeks.

She choked out, “You… your face… it’s so ugly…”

Lan Wu couldn’t help but laugh, reaching out to tap Ji Lingyue’s forehead. Ji Lingyue froze, staring at her in stunned silence.

“What is it?” Lan Wu asked, feeling a little nervous. “Am I still ugly?”

Soft lips suddenly crashed against hers, almost colliding with her teeth. Lan Wu grunted, instinctively steadying Ji Lingyue’s waist. She glanced sideways and met a sea of shocked stares.

The music stopped. Almost every demon was staring at them, their mouths agape, oblivious to the wine spilling over their cups.

Ji Lingyue cupped Lan Wu’s face, a hint of annoyance in her voice. “Don’t get distracted.”

From a nearby high seat, a demon hissed, lowering his head to drink and calm his nerves. “The Moon Lord’s taste is truly… unique.”

The comment reached Lan Wu’s ears, and she closed her eyes, embarrassed. “Ah Yue,” she whispered.

Ji Lingyue seemed to finally snap out of her daze, her head whipping around to glare at the silent demons behind her. After a moment of stunned silence, the music resumed, the demons raising their cups again, laughing and chatting as if nothing had happened.

She turned back to Lan Wu, her gaze intense and eager, like a pet craving praise.

Lan Wu chuckled, “You were amazing.”

Ji Lingyue smiled, her long sleeves sweeping around Lan Wu as she whisked her away from the noise and bustle. They flew like the wind from the balcony into the sky, disappearing into a cave carved into the steep cliff face.

The cave looked simple from the outside, but inside, it was fully furnished. Lan Wu tumbled onto a soft bed, and before she could sit up, Ji Lingyue was on top of her, her cool fingers slipping beneath her robes, exploring her body.

“You’ve lost so much weight,” Ji Lingyue murmured.

“Well, I’ve been lying down for fifteen years… hey,” Lan Wu grabbed Ji Lingyue’s wandering hands, confused. “Where are you touching?”

i Lingyue narrowed her eyes, not answering, but nuzzling closer, her voice soft and pleading. “I missed you so much.”

Lan Wu blinked. “I missed you too… uh, wait…”

She propped herself up on her elbows, her breathing quickening as she stared into Ji Lingyue’s eyes. “What are you trying to do?”

Ji Lingyue’s hands were already pushing aside her clothes, touching her sensitive waist. She looked innocent when questioned, her long lashes even appearing misty with a hint of grievance. “Will you leave again?”

“I won’t.” As soon as Lan Wu said that, Ji Lingyue snuggled closer, but the moment Lan Wu frowned, Ji Lingyue would look at her with a pitiful expression, as if Lan Wu had done something terrible.

Lan Wu stared at her for a moment, then sighed in resignation, wrapping her arms around Ji Lingyue’s neck and kissing her. “You’ve become so cunning.”

Ji Lingyue smiled, her tongue slipping into Lan Wu’s warm mouth. Her fingers tangled in Lan Wu’s hair, loosening the tie and letting the silvery strands spill over her palms.

The temperature rose quickly, and Lan Wu, overwhelmed by the kiss, tried to pull away, but the little demon clung tightly, her teeth grazing Lan Wu’s lips. She seemed eager to bite down but, after trembling for a moment, only gently nibbled instead.

“Lan Wu…” she murmured.

“Hmm? What?”

Ji Lingyue fell silent again, impatiently pulling at Lan Wu’s clothes.

Lan Wu felt a chill on her shoulder, and when she looked down, she saw that a large portion of her skin was exposed. She instinctively curled up, reaching to cover herself, but Ji Lingyue grabbed her wrist and pinned it to the bed.

Her gaze lingered on Lan Wu’s bare skin before she nuzzled into her shoulder, leaving wet kisses on her skin.

“Mmm…” Lan Wu frowned, feeling ticklish from Ji Lingyue’s soft hair. She tried to pull away, but Ji Lingyue held her head firmly in place. “Don’t go.”

Ji Lingyue kissed her chin, her voice filled with a hint of sadness. “Don’t you like it? Do you want to leave me again?”

Lan Wu paused, realizing that Ji Lingyue was being quite domineering, but at the same time, she also looked so pitiful, making it hard to find any evidence of her dominance. It was rather strange.

While Lan Wu was pondering this, Ji Lingyue had already silently stripped off her clothes, her cool fingers sliding down her hip bone and onto her soft thigh.

Lan Wu gasped, but before she could say anything, Ji Lingyue’s lips were on hers again. Her fingertip teased the still-soft bud of her clit before slipping into her tight entrance.

Lan Wu let out a muffled moan, instinctively wrapping her arms around Ji Lingyue. The sound of wetness filled the room, and Lan Wu, embarrassed, closed her eyes. Her body flushed pink, her ears turning bright red. After a while, Ji Lingyue finally broke the kiss, panting, and Lan Wu’s rapid breathing filled the air. “You, you can’t just… ah, slow down…”

“I missed you so much,” Ji Lingyue whispered.

Lan Wu blinked her tear-dampened eyes. “I missed you too, but…” She was cut off as she felt her most sensitive spot being mercilessly teased. She curled her legs up, moaning as she wrapped them around Ji Lingyue’s waist. “Wait… hmm, slow, slow down…”

Her silver hair was damp with sweat, clinging to her beautiful face. Ji Lingyue gently brushed the stray strands away, gazing into Lan Wu’s watery blue eyes. “Lan Wu,” she murmured.

Lan Wu frowned, barely able to focus through the waves of pleasure. “Wh-what is it?”

“Do you like how I look now?” Ji Lingyue asked cautiously. “Do you think I’m ugly?”

Lan Wu blinked, studying her face. “Aren’t you the same as before? You just… turned into a red-eyed rabbit…”

“Am I not scary?”

“Why would you be scary?” Lan Wu chuckled, her voice still trembling but filled with tenderness. “I have blue eyes. Do you think I’m scary?”

Seeing that Ji Lingyue was still frowning slightly, she sighed, cupping her face and kissing her. “I like red.”

Ji Lingyue lowered her eyes, gazing at the beautiful face so close to hers. Lan Wu’s eyes were closed, her long lashes trembling, as if bathed in the soft silver light of the moon.

After a moment of silence, Ji Lingyue also closed her eyes, deepening the kiss.
