“It seems like spring is coming.”
The person sitting across from her, who had been passionately expounding on some matter, paused and looked at her suspiciously. “What did you say?”
Xuan Yu smiled faintly and shook her head, drawing her gaze away from the vibrant lake outside the window.
“It’s nothing. Please, continue.”
But in truth, her thoughts had already drifted far away. After all, she couldn’t care less about the petty squabbles and fights between disciples over trivial matters. Unfortunately, since becoming the acting sect leader, she had dismissed a few incompetent elders, including the one responsible for disciple affairs. As a result, all the sect’s administrative tasks had fallen onto her shoulders. Until a new elder was appointed, she would have to bear the burden.
Her gaze wandered back to the window. The sky was clear, and a few birds skimmed across the water, sending ripples across the lake.
I wonder how the fox is doing.
As the sun set, the woman in plain blue robes finally left Yunxiao Pavilion and hurried back to her valley home surrounded by mountains. When she pushed open the gate, a few snow chickens she kept in the yard flapped their wings and ran toward her, clucking noisily. She glanced at them and knew that Yao Zhu hadn’t fed them today, and she frowned.
“Yao Zhu?”
As soon as she opened the door, a faint scent of blood hit her nose. All the windows were closed, and the dim room was eerily quiet. After a moment, she heard faint, labored breathing.
She paused and quickly walked inside. “Yao Zhu?”
A dark figure crouched on the floor came into view. The woman was draped in a loose robe, her arms and neck exposed, trembling with each breath. Hearing the footsteps, she lifted her head, revealing a flushed face beneath disheveled hair.
Those cunning fox eyes were now brimming with tears, and her pale chin was stained with bright blood. Xuan Yu reacted quickly, rushing over to help her up. Yao Zhu seemed boneless, clinging to Xuan Yu the moment she was lifted, wrapping her arms around her neck and sniffing her.
“Mmm…” Satisfied by the familiar scent, Yao Zhu closed her eyes contentedly, pressing her soft, wet lips to Xuan Yu’s neck. “I’m probably… probably not going to make it…”
Xuan Yu frowned. “What nonsense are you talking about? It’s just your heat cycle.” As she said this, she reached out to wipe the blood from the fox’s lips. “What happened here?”
“I was too hungry, so I ate a chicken.”
Xuan Yu’s expression froze. “Raw?”
Although she had always fed these chickens with spiritual plants, and the snow chickens in these spiritual mountains had no strange smell or filth and were full of nutrients, eating them raw was still too wild.
But the woman in her arms didn’t seem to think it was a problem. Nodding with a soft hum, she pulled Xuan Yu’s hand toward her chest. “Touch me.”
Xuan Yu thought for a moment and picked her up. “Did you go out today?”
“Why would I go out?”
“So, you didn’t.” She sighed softly. “Do you know that I saw many foxes outside the valley just now? They were all drawn here by you.”
Yao Zhu paused, her eyes curving into a smile as she giggled. “Then I must be very charming.”
Xuan Yu rolled her eyes, but her movements were gentle as she carefully placed her on the bed. “This never happened before. I thought once a demon took human form, they could suppress their heat cycle.”
“They can suppress it, but it doesn’t disappear. After suppressing it for too long, it has to come out eventually.”
As she spoke, she lazily rolled over. The robe she was wearing slipped off, revealing her pale skin. Xuan Yu was momentarily blinded by the sight and instinctively looked away, but then she felt it was odd and turned back to openly admire her.
Under her gaze, Yao Zhu moaned softly, her thighs rubbing together as a glistening wetness spread between them. “Xuan Yu…”
Xuan Yu hesitated, then knelt on the bed, her posture still as straight as bamboo. “I… I have guests coming from Haochen Mountain tomorrow.”
Yao Zhu tilted her head and giggled. “What do you mean? You don’t think… you don’t think I’ll keep you up all night, do you?”
Before Xuan Yu could answer, she propped herself up and burrowed into the woman’s arms, wrapping her arms around her neck and licking her red lips like a kitten. Xuan Yu quietly watched her damp eyes, which first flickered with a faint green light, then spread like spring, turning into vibrant emerald green.
A green-eyed fox was even more alluring.
“Xuan Yu…” The fox deliberately drew out her voice, saying softly, “Help me, I can’t do it myself.”
Xuan Yu blinked, then finally wrapped an arm around her waist, lowering her head to kiss her neck. The woman’s rich scent filled her nose, and she couldn’t help but hold her tighter, her, her lips and tongue sucking on her soft skin, leaving bright, ambiguous red marks.
Yao Zhu gasped and tilted her head back, feeling uncomfortable against her clothes. She randomly grabbed at them, leaving several knife-like cuts.
Xuan Yu paused, then continued to kiss her, her lips landing on her full breasts, sucking on the hardened nipple.
“Mmm… mmm…”
The white breasts were covered with fading fingerprints, evidence that Yao Zhu had been pleasuring herself long before Xuan Yu returned. Xuan Yu’s hand slid down Yao Zhu’s sweaty back, over the soft curve of her butt, and into the shadowy depths.
“Mmm…”
Yao Zhu curled her legs, her face flushed as she looked at Xuan Yu. Xuan Yu froze, then looked up. “What’s this?”
Her fingers hadn’t found the soft, wet entrance she expected but instead touched something cold and hard. She suddenly had a bad feeling, grabbing the slippery object and gently pulling it out.
Her palm was wet, and lying in it was a short flute, glistening with moisture.
Xuan Yu was silent for a moment. “Whose flute is this?”
Yao Zhu’s eyes flickered, avoiding the question. “You haven’t been back, so I had to… had to comfort myself. It looked just right…”
Xuan Yu narrowed her eyes, repeating, “So, whose flute is this?”
The fox lowered her eyes guiltily, saying reluctantly, “Yours.”
Xuan Yu pressed her lips together, annoyed, and shook the flute to rid it of the moisture. “Are you doing this on purpose? Even if you needed… something, why did you have to pick my favorite flute?”
Yao Zhu snorted. “Because it’s your favorite…”
Before she could finish, Xuan Yu understood her meaning, her face flushing red and then pale. After a moment, she sighed helplessly. “You’re so petty, jealous of a flute.”
“I’m not petty. That flute has touched your lips more times than I have.”
Xuan Yu couldn’t help but laugh. “You’re being ridiculous.”
Yao Zhu raised her eyebrows, baring her teeth as if trying to look fierce. “It’s your fault for not staying with me. I told you to stay by my side these past few days. If you won’t, then the flute will have to do.”
“I’m sorry, I’ve been too busy lately.” Xuan Yu casually threw the flute to the end of the bed, cupping her face and kissing her. The fox struggled a few times, then opened her mouth, her soft tongue chasing hers.
“If you’re too busy… don’t blame me for defiling every flute you own…”
Hearing this, Xuan Yu felt both angry and amused. She gently bit her tongue, her hand sliding back down her abdomen, sinking into the already soaked folds.
Yao Zhu suddenly grabbed her shoulders, moaning in discomfort. “Mmm… faster, faster…”
Xuan Yu spread the slick lips, pressing into the dripping entrance, which made a wet sound. “Faster what?”
Yao Zhu trembled, her shoulders hunching as she looked at Xuan Yu with reddened eyes. “Faster… fuck me…”
Xuan Yu hummed and leaned down to kiss her lips. “Alright.”
