CHAPTER 159: Cute

Sexual content warning.

Under the serene moonlight, a dark figure plummeted from the sky, kicking up a cloud of dust.

After rolling on the ground a few times, Lan Wu covered her mouth and coughed, tilting her head to gaze at the person on top of her with amusement. “Did you lose your ability to fly?”

The woman was still panting, her soft hair cascading down like a waterfall. Hearing Lan Wu’s question, she widened her eyes, her voice tinged with embarrassment and annoyance. “Isn’t it all your fault?”

Lan Wu’s eyes curved into crescents as she rolled over, switching their positions. She continued to tease, “You have no idea how adorable you look like this.”

Ji Lingyue frowned. “I knew it,” she said, reaching out to push Lan Wu’s face away. “This is your weird obsession. You keep talking about demon features, but you just love seeing me embarrassed.”

“How is this embarrassing?” Lan Wu blinked through Ji Lingyue’s fingers, struggling to free her face. Once she succeeded, she leaned down and planted a soft kiss on Ji Lingyue’s forehead. “You’re just so cute.”

Ji Lingyue’s eyes narrowed at the kiss, but she still muttered, “You only like the cat ears. You’ve been praising them all night. Don’t you usually… don’t you think I’m…”

It felt childish to call herself cute, so Ji Lingyue hesitated for a long time before finally squeezing out a few words, “Don’t you think I’m pleasing to the eye?”

Lan Wu chuckled at her. “Of course I do. You’re pleasing to the eye no matter what you look like. And it’s not just any cat ears I like. It’s only because they’re on your head that I like them.”

The corners of her mouth couldn’t help but curl upwards. Ji Lingyue feigned annoyance. “You’re just spouting sweet nothings again… mm…”

Cool fingertips gently caressed the furry base of her ears, gently stroking up to the tips. Ji Lingyue shivered, her eyes instinctively closing, and a soft purr escaped her throat.

After a moment of silence, Lan Wu stopped her movements, trying to hold back her laughter. “Hmm?”

“…” Ji Lingyue’s eyes snapped open, her cheeks flushed with a faint blush. She struggled to push Lan Wu’s shoulders away, desperately trying to get free. “Let go… let go of me!”

“Okay, okay,” Lan Wu quickly wrapped her arms around her, cupping her chin in her palm and giving her a tender kiss on the lips. At the same time, her other hand slid down Ji Lingyue’s back, finding the tail that had been hidden under her robe. “Let’s go back a bit later.”

Ji Lingyue let out a soft moan, her eyes gradually filling with moisture as she realized what Lan Wu intended to do. “You… you never take the initiative when you should, but now you’re so… so proactive.”

“Don’t you like it?” Lan Wu kissed her cheek, her gaze lowering, her clear blue eyes reflecting the woman’s flushed face. “If you really don’t like it, we can…” Before she could finish, her wrist was suddenly wrapped by something soft and furry. Lan Wu glanced down and saw Ji Lingyue’s slender tail coiled around her.

Ji Lingyue gazed at her with a mixture of reproach and longing, whispering, “We… we should do it inside.”

Lan Wu chuckled. “Alright.”

The small, collapsible house was taken out of the storage ring and placed in the vast desert. Ji Lingyue curled up in Lan Wu’s arms as she carried her across the wooden platform over the water. Unable to resist, Ji Lingyue murmured, “Later, let’s buy a seashell big enough for two and put it in the water, okay?”

“Why buy a seashell?”

Ji Lingyue said calmly, “Just buy it. You’ll find out when we get it.”

Though puzzled, Lan Wu nodded. “Alright, but we don’t need to spend money on a seashell. I can just find one in the ocean. What color do you like?”

“The same as the one you slept in when you were little.”

“You even know about the seashell I slept in when I was little?” Lan Wu paused. “If that’s the case, I can just bring that one.”

“Really?” Ji Lingyue’s eyes lit up, her long lashes fluttering. Then she said, “Never mind. It’s the seashell you’ve slept in since you were a child. It should stay in your home.”

Lan Wu glanced at her perked-up ears and the unconsciously wiggling toes. She knew she was putting on an act again.

“That’s not true,” Lan Wu said with a laugh. “This is my home too.”

Ji Lingyue pursed her lips, pleased. “Well, if you insist, then bring it here.”

Lan Wu stopped, letting out a sigh. “I really can’t handle you.”

Ji Lingyue blinked, looking at her, confused. Before she could ask why, the mermaid pressed her against the outer wall of the house, her hand slipping under Ji Lingyue’s robe as her lips sealed Ji Lingyue’s in a kiss.

Ji Lingyue’s eyes widened in a panic. “Wait, we’re not even inside yet…”

“We’ll go in later.”

Lan Wu quickly removed her clothes. Ji Lingyue’s eyes, now glistening with moisture, looked up at her. She leaned in to bite Lan Wu’s lip, her hands fumbling to undo Lan Wu’s sash. Once it was off, she used her foot to push Lan Wu’s skirt down, determined to remove her clothes as well.

Lan Wu glanced down at the ground, amused. “You really don’t like to lose.”

Ji Lingyue gasped, wrapping her arms around her neck, kissing her again. Lan Wu instinctively held her closer. When their bodies touched, she could almost feel the other’s heartbeat. After the kiss, the woman blinked, her gaze unfocused. “So soft…”

“Hmm?”

A beautiful hand reached her chest, giving it a gentle squeeze. “So soft.”

Lan Wu paused, unsure whether to laugh or be embarrassed. She scooped her up, carrying her inside, as she stroked the smooth, slender tail.

“Mmm…”

Ji Lingyue’s slender legs wrapped around Lan Wu’s waist, her body trembling as she buried her face in Lan Wu’s shoulder. Lan Wu stepped into the room and laid Ji Lingyue down on the soft bed. Her flexible waist pressed against Ji Lingyue’s thighs, moving gently with each kiss. “Ah Yue…”

Ji Lingyue looked at her blankly, her breath still ragged. Her usually calm and composed face was now flushed with desire. Lan Wu chuckled, reaching down to touch her stomach, then spread her fingers wide, holding them up in front of her misty eyes. “Look.”

In her blurry vision, the delicate fingers were covered in a sticky wetness.

“…”

Ji Lingyue’s mind felt like it was about to explode from the sudden rush of heat. She was so embarrassed she could practically see steam rising from her head. Lan Wu’s teasing voice reached her ears. Just from touching your tail, you’re this wet?”
