Extra Chapter 4: Modern AU 2

Sexual content warning.

Many prominent figures were invited to Lan Ji’s engagement party, and the dress she’d painstakingly chosen was now out of the question, so in a rush, she slammed the gas pedal and sped straight to Meng Changge’s studio. After a quick makeover, she dashed into the dressing room.

Ji Lingyue, freshly showered and dressed in a proper black suit, sat properly on the sofa outside waiting for her. As Meng Changge passed by, she handed her a cold drink and glanced at the closed door, teasing, “Things are progressing nicely, huh?”

Ji Lingyue’s face flushed slightly. She clutched the can tightly, murmuring, “Thank you, Senior.”

“For what?” Meng Changge chuckled, glancing towards the dressing room before whispering, “But when are you going to tell her you’re actually a top student from A University, and not some uneducated, poor girl who’s just good at fighting?”

The girl fell silent, nervously picking at her fingers. “I’ll tell her… later.”

“Don’t wait too long,” Meng Changge warned kindly. “Even though Lan Wu might seem a little slow, but her sister has a shrewd look about her and is very calculating. Be careful she doesn’t catch on, or things could get messy.”

Ji Lingyue frowned, and after a pause, couldn’t help but ask, “But… don’t they look almost the same?”

Meng Changge scoffed. “The face reflects the heart.”

Ji Lingyue blinked, clearly confused. She was about to ask another question when the door creaked open. She immediately turned to look at Lan Wu, who emerged, holding up her gown. Before she could even smile, Lan Wu spun around, her long, flowing curls revealing a striking expanse of her pale back. “How do I look?”

Ji Lingyue blinked, “…Beautiful.”

She lowered her eyes, thinking she should have left some marks on Lan Wu’s back too.

Lan Wu really did look like a butterfly.

Dressed in a soft, flowing gown, she weaved gracefully through the crowd, a wine glass delicately pinched between her fingers. Her every step seemed effortless, exchanging brief pleasantries and flashing dazzling smiles at the people she passed.

Despite wearing impossibly high heels, she moved with a calm, unhurried pace. Yet, Ji Lingyue had to quicken her steps to keep up, subtly guiding her through the crowd. From time to time, she hovered her hand protectively near Lan Wu’s waist, ready to shield her from any sudden jostling.

Lan Wu’s destination was a handsome man with a perfect posture, accompanied by a woman with an equally cool demeanor. Though they were siblings, Lan Ji didn’t resemble Lan Wu or her sister much. Lan Wu approached him, gave him a brief hug, and then stepped back, saying lightly, “Congratulations on your engagement, brother.”

Lan Ji nodded, spoke a few words to Lan Wu, and then casually mentioned, “By the way, Lan Yuan was just looking for you. Did you see her?”

“She was?” Lan Wu paused, her eyes darting around with a hint of guilt. She coughed lightly, “Oh, really? Maybe she needed something… I-I’ll go find her.”

But instead of looking for Lan Yuan, she grabbed Ji Lingyue and they slipped away from the hall, sneaking onto a deserted second-floor balcony.

The balcony was high enough to give them a clear view of the bustling city below, a sea of headlights and moving cars. Ji Lingyue closed the door, sealing off the noise and chill from the hall, creating a sudden silence.

Lan Wu let out a sigh of relief, waving Ji Lingyue over. “Come here. We’ll go back in a bit.”

Ji Lingyue obediently walked to her side. Lan Wu smiled, pushed her thick black hair aside, and leaned closer. “Can you take off this necklace for me?”

Ji Lingyue’s gaze shifted, noticing the faint red mark circling Lan Wu’s pale neck. Alarmed, she quickly reached out to unclasp the necklace. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”

“It’s just a bit itchy, that’s all,” Lan Wu replied casually. Noticing the frown on Ji Lingyue’s face, she playfully poked her. “You look so scary when you get serious like that. Aren’t you hot in all that?”

Ji Lingyue caught her playful hand, her fingers briefly tightening around it. She hesitated for a moment, then nodded honestly. “Yeah… a little.”

“Then take it off,” Lan Wu said, glancing her up and down. Tall with long legs, Ji Lingyue definitely looked good in a suit, but on a hot day like this, it seemed like pure torture. “No point in suffering until you get heatstroke.”

Ji Lingyue shook her head. “That would be too improper.”

“Oh, come on,” Lan Wu rolled her eyes. “I’m not telling you to strip down to nothing. You’ve got a shirt on underneath, don’t you?” Lan Wu lazily pinched her collar. Even after just a short time outside, the shirt Ji Lingyue was wearing underneath was damp with sweat, clinging to her skin, becoming semi-transparent.

After a moment of contemplation, she pulled Ji Lingyue back inside. “Forget it, let’s find a cool place to relax.”

After searching for a while, they finally found what appeared to be an empty guest lounge. As they stepped inside, they were met with the sight of long, white legs propped up on the table. Their owner was sprawled across the sofa, lazily playing a game on their phone, and at the sound of their entrance, she looked up with narrowed eyes, taking a moment to register who she was seeing before sluggishly recognizing the visitor.

“Lan Wu?” the person asked.

Lan Wu rudely pushed her legs off the table. “Why aren’t you downstairs? What are you doing up here?”

Yu Shanye clicked her tongue, giving her a resentful look. “It’s all your fault.”

Lan Wu looked confused. “Me? What did I do?”

“It’s because last year you asked me to look after your cousin. Now I’m hiding from her.”

“Why are you hiding from her?”

Yu Shanye pursed her lips, then said flatly, “She confessed to me last month. Can you think of anything more terrifying? I’m nearly ten years older than her!”

Lan Wu: “…Oh.”

She glanced at Ji Lingyue, who looked confused, and thought that maybe she wasn’t so bad after all.

“Nevermind, don’t let us disturb you.” Sensing Ji Lingyue’s discomfort, she took her hand and left. This time, they finally found an empty lounge. Ji Lingyue listened to her and obediently took off her jacket.

“Lan Wu,” she asked casually, “who was that person just now?”

“She’s my childhood friend.” Lan Wu replied naturally.

“Childhood friend? So, you grew up together?”

“Yeah,” Lan Wu replied naturally. “We used to sleep together naked when we were kids.”

Ji Lingyue was speechless.

Lan Wu glanced at her, somewhat surprised. “No way, are you getting jealous over that?”

Ji Lingyue: “I’m not.”

“Then smile for me.”

Ji Lingyue huffed. “Just because you tell me to smile, I have to? I’m not here for your entertainment.”

Lan Wu chuckled, leaning in with a sly smile. “If you smile, I’ll give you a kiss.”

Ji Lingyue was speechless.

She stared at Lan Wu for a long moment before reluctantly tugging her lips into a forced, awkward smile. Lan Wu couldn’t hold back her laughter and leaned in, giving Ji Lingyue a light kiss on the lips.

Ji Lingyue’s long lashes fluttered. She suddenly reached out, hooking her arms around Lan Wu’s neck, pulling her down.

“Hmm?”

Her shirt was pulled out from her pants, and Ji Lingyue took Lan Wu’s hand, slowly guiding it down her abdomen, her hand soon finding its way inside. After a moment, Ji Lingyue let out a soft moan.

Her fingertips quickly found the slick, wet folds of her pussy, and Lan Wu slowly began to tease the petals, gently pinching the hidden clitoris. Ji Lingyue whimpered, her legs curling up and wrapping around Lan Wu’s waist.

“Baby,” Lan Wu whispered, “are you getting addicted?”

Ji Lingyue’s blushed, and she tried to cover Lan Wu’s mouth. “Don’t say that…”

Lan Wu kissed her palm, and as Ji Lingyue instinctively pulled back, Lan Wu’s fingers smoothly slipped into her wet opening.

“Ah…”

Ji Lingyue frowned, reaching up to kiss Lan Wu’s lips. The woman blinked, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear, and said, her voice muffled, “My lipstick will smudge.”

“I’ll fix it for you,” Ji Lingyue murmured breathlessly.

“Then hurry,” Lan Wu said, unbuttoning her shirt and kissing her chest. “The party is about to start.”

“Mmm…”

Twenty minutes later, two figures hurried out of the room. Lan Wu was now wearing a suit jacket, and as they walked, she grumbled, “You should really cut your nails. Your claws are like a cat’s, and they hurt when you scratch.”

Ji Lingyue hummed in agreement, a smile playing on her lips. “Okay.”
