HAPTER 143: Too Much

Sexual content warning.

“Ah,” Ji Lingyue murmured, her demonic energy spreading out like tiny tendrils, wrapping around the delicate green stems and gathering them into her palm.

She glanced around again, making sure none were left behind, then let out a sigh of relief. She carefully cradled the fragile daisies.

Lan Wu looked at her. “Do you like them?”

Ji Lingyue nodded. “This is the first time you’ve given me flowers.”

Lan Wu paused, her eyelashes falling as she stared at the sandy ground. “I’m sorry. You’ve suffered a lot because of me.”

Ji Lingyue chuckled softly. “Why are you saying that all of a sudden?”

Lan Wu blinked, resting her head on her knees while her fingers traced patterns in the sand. “Following me all over the world, changing so much because of me… and yet, I can’t be like you…”

Ji Lingyue hummed, puzzled. “Like me how?”

Lan Wu lowered her eyes, whispering, “I can’t love you the way you love me, with your whole heart.”

Ji Lingyue stiffened, kneeling in front of her without a word.

Lan Wu went on quietly, “You gave up everything for me. You love me so much. But me… I can’t let go of everything here. I can’t stay with you in the Flame Lands, I can’t focus only on you. I can’t make you my whole world. There are still so many things… I can’t stop thinking about.”

“Is that all?” Ji Lingyue sighed. “Didn’t we already talk about this? You were the one who convinced me back then.”

Lan Wu said miserably, “I’m just good at sweet talk.”

Ji Lingyue smiled, carefully tucking the flowers away before taking Lan Wu’s hand in hers. “Maybe you’re the normal one.”

Seeing Lan Wu look up, she said earnestly, “You have family, friends, things you care about, that’s normal. I’m the strange one, clinging to you with all my heart. Maybe others even find me scary.”

Lan Wu’s eyes widened. “You’re not scary.”

“Lan Wu, I love you with all I have is because you’re the most important person to me. That’s why I wanted to form a contract with you at all costs back then. Because if I didn’t hold onto you, you would have slipped away.”

Ji Lingyue thought for a moment. “Looking back now, maybe the contract was a bit extreme, but if had the chance to do it all over again… I would still do the same. Whether you like it or not, whether you were willing or not, I would still bind you to me. Because I’m selfish. Since you bear the weight of all my love, you have to accept everything that comes after.”

She cupped Lan Wu’s face gently, gazing into her clear eyes. “Besides,” she added softly, ” I’m not living only for you anymore. I still need to find Shanye. I still have to avenge my family. You just happen to want those things too… so I’ll walk this path with you. But it’s not just for you.”

Lan Wu sniffled. “Really?”

She hummed, sighing with a touch of helplessness. “Where in the world is there another demon like you, who won’t even let someone love her with their whole heart.”

Lan Wu grinned, snuggling into Ji Lingyue’s arms. Ji Lingyue looked down, noticing the lines she had drawn in the sand. “Is that a moon?”

Lan Wu nestled closer, burying her face in Ji Lingyue’s shoulder. “And… a fish.”

Ji Lingyue paused, staring at the drawing for a while before asking, puzzled, “I can’t really tell.”

“Hmm?”

Lan Wu propped herself up, her voice soft and slurred, as if she was drunk. She was still leaning against Ji Lingyue, lazily pointing.

“That’s the fish,” she said, pointing to one side. “and over there… that’s the moon,” she said, pointing to the other.

She paused, then said slowly, “The fish… it wants to swim up into the sky, to reach the moon… and stay by her side forever.”

Ji Lingyue pressed her lips together, then said softly, “Lan Wu.”

“Hmm.”

Ji Lingyue sighed, holding her tightly and closing her eyes. “You say things like tha, and still tell me not to love you with my whole heart… it’s far too cruel.”

In the quiet afternoon, a splash suddenly broke the silence of the still water.

Lan Wu’s eyes were bright, her gaze hazy as she looked at the woman in front of her. That familiar face was so close, and a faint red glow emanating from the depths of her eyes, as if a fire was burning there.

But Lan Wu felt no fear, only trust. She wrapped her arms around Ji Lingyue’s neck, leaning in to kiss the corner of her lips.

“Ah Yue…” she whispered.

Ji Lingyue wrapped her arms around her slender waist, instinctively responding. “You always say I’m clingy, but you’re no better.”

She couldn’t help but smile as she pressed Lan Wu against the edge of the platform, capturing her red lips. “I wish you were always like this.”

Soft breaths escaped their lips. Lan Wu’s eyes fluttered shut as she slid down, but Ji Lingyue caught her legs, wrapping them around her waist.

With a firm push, Ji Lingyue lifted her onto the platform. Lan Wu lay back on the rough wood, her silver hair spread out behind her, water droplets still clinging to her pale skin. She turned her head, shielding her eyes from the bright sunlight with her hand.

Soon, a shadow fell over her. Lan Wu barely managed to lift her lashes, her gaze unfocused as she looked up at Ji Lingyue. The woman leaned over her, her hot kisses trailing down Lan Wu’s neck while her fingers slid lower, teasing the sensitive bud between her legs.

“Ah…”

Lan Wu gasped, her arms wrapping around Ji Lingyue’s shoulders. As Ji Lingyue’s fingers moved, Lan Wu’s nails dug into her back, leaving faint red marks on her flawless skin.

Ji Lingyue chuckled, kissing her lips. “It’s a good thing I’m thick-skinned.”

Lan Wu trembled, closing her eyes as her throat bobbed. She suddenly said, “I want… my shell…”

“Shell?”

“It’s… ah, from the sea… the shell I slept in since I was little…” Lan Wu’s lashes fluttered, her voice soft. “It was so beautiful.”

Ji Lingyue chuckled, “And what do you want it for?”

“I want to…” she gasped, mumbling, “I want to be with you, to lie in it with you, and then, inside…”

Her voice grew softer and softer. Ji Lingyue leaned in, curious, and heard her say two soft words: “Fuck you.”

Ji Lingyue froze, then burst into laughter, her heart swelling with joy as she kissed Lan Wu’s lips. “I love it when you talk like this.”

She nipped at Lan Wu’s tongue, her fingers slick with arousal as they slowly pushed inside. “Say it again, please?”

“Ugh,” Lan Wu frowned, her body arching as she was touched. She mumbled, “Say, say what…”

“Like what you just said,” Ji Lingyue murmured between kisses. “You want to fuck me in the shell…”

“Ah…” Lan Wu blinked, her eyes hazy. “I don’t remember.”

“How can you not remember?” Ji Lingyue pouted, her fingers moving more insistently, rubbing against Lan Wu’s swollen clit. Lan Wu’s body shuddered, her legs tightening around Ji Lingyue’s waist as a thin stream of pleasure spilled from her.

She gasped for breath, still recovering when Ji Lingyue flipped her over, her knees pressing into the wooden platform as she lay on her stomach.

Ji Lingyue’s hot body pressed against her from behind, spreading her cheeks and teasing her entrance before pushing inside again.

“Hmm!”

“Lan Wu,” Ji Lingyue’s voice was soft, her chin resting on Lan Wu’s shoulder. “You really don’t remember?”

Lan Wu was completely wet. She was lying on the wooden platform, her chest being teased by a hand that was plucking at her red nipples.

“Lan Wu, Lan Wu…”

Ji Lingyue called her name softly, over and over, the sound mingling with the wet noises below, turning Lan Wu’s already muddled mind into complete mush.

“Lan Wu, do you like it?”

Lan Wu trembled, letting out a soft moan. Apparently unsatisfied with her response, Ji Lingyue pinched her clit, threatening, “Say it.”

Lan Wu whimpered, “I… I like it…”

Ji Lingyue smiled, kissing the back of Lan Wu’s neck as she held her close, bringing her to the edge once more before flipping her over again.

Lan Wu lay limp on the ground, her chest heaving, truly like a fish on a chopping board, being turned this way and that by Ji Lingyue.

She gasped for breath, her blurry vision catching the woman kneeling in front of her. Her black hair was scattered behind her like ink, swaying with her movements.

Her body was toned, her slender muscles barely visible. Between her parted legs, her pink folds were dripping with arousal.

Lan Wu stared at that spot, her eyes wide. Ji Lingyue slowly lowered her hips, offering herself to Lan Wu’s red lips.

“Lan Wu.”

She gently ruffled Lan Wu’s wet silver hair, nuzzling her face. “Lick me.”

The autumn breeze rustled the yellowing leaves, gently floating onto the still water. Soon, the sweet moans broke the silence, but just as they were about to reach the barrier, they were blocked by the formation surrounding the house.

“Hmmmm—”

After a long moan, Lan Wu turned her head, coughing as if choking. Her eyes were already red at the corners. Ji Lingyue knelt over her, her thighs soaked, and seeing Lan Wu cough so hard, she felt a pang of guilt. She leaned down, carefully licking the wetness from Lan Wu’s face.

Lan Wu closed her eyes. When she could breathe again, she grabbed Ji Lingyue’s shoulders, shakily pushing her down.

Ji i Lingyue obediently looked up at her, watching as Lan Wu frowned, her words slurred. “You… you’re so mean…” She swayed unsteadily, as if about to fall. “You’re always bullying me, I’m going to… I’m going to get angry…”

Ji Lingyue held her steady, blinking innocently. “I’m sorry.” Then she quickly added, “I’ll let you fuck me back.”

Lan Wu: “Okay.”

She fell, crashing into Ji Lingyue’s arms. She simply took a nipple into her mouth and reached down with both hands.

“Hmm… you…” Ji Lingyue blinked, before she could react, she had a finger inside her, causing her to moan.

Luckily, Lan Wu wasn’t so drunk that she had forgotten what to do. After inserting her finger, she began to move it around randomly. Ji Lingyue’s body was sensitive, especially when it came to her. Even though the other was just poking and prodding her, her body responded passionately.

Slowly, she relaxed, letting out a comfortable moan.

“Ugh, Lan Wu, Lan Wu…” She closed her eyes, holding the head in her arms, whispering, “Faster, I’m almost…”

Just as she was about to reach her peak, the person in her arms suddenly went still. Ji Lingyue was stuck in the middle of her climax. Panting, she looked down to find Lan Wu lying on her chest, her eyes closed, her long eyelashes casting a peaceful shadow. She had fallen asleep.

Ji Lingyue stared at her for a long moment, then let out a helpless laugh. “You… you’re the one who’s really too much.”
